The Shift from Organizer to Coach and the Differences Between the Two

I am a seasoned Professional Organizer who deals with special clients – people with ADD, dyslexia, learning disabilities, hoarding, mild traumatic brain injuries -- and I have made the decision to switch to ADHD Coaching. The driving and the lugging of stuff required of organizers is beginning to wear me out. As I make the shift, I've been noticing some significant differences between the two professions.

As an Organizer I am a player right on the field with the client. As a Coach it’s more of a sideline activity, discussing strategies for different plays to win the game or to conquer the organizing dilemma. Both people are vital to securing success for the messy client. As I personally straddle the organizer/coach fence, I often take on both roles.
