By Joyce Kubik, President ACO

Every summer my family of 40 plus members (it grows every year) reunites for a celebratory clambake. The best part of the gathering is learning how all have grown and changed in the past year. For me, learning of the challenges some have faced and how they overcame them is the best part. There’s always something to celebrate!

ACOBoard2013In a like manner, members of the ACO family gather every year at its Annual International ADHD Coaches Conference. More than likely as you read this, the 2014 Conference is already underway in Phoenix, Arizona. I can already feel the excitement of everyone either reuniting with friends or meeting each other for the first time, coaches catching up on news, sharing challenges and successes, and learning new things that inspire them.

I’m particularly excited because this is the 20th anniversary of professional ADHD Coaching, and the Board of Directors will be unveiling a number of initiatives we’ve been working on that we think you’ll be really interested in.

I can’t tell you everything yet(!), but here are a couple of teasers:

First, we’ll be debuting ACO Books, the publishing arm of the ADHD Coaches Organization. Its mission is to publish titles that are essential reading for ADHD Coaching Professionals and anyone interested in the field of ADHD Coaching. The first book will be revealed May 1st at the conference, written for the ACO by our very own Sarah D. Wright!

And, because part of the Board’s job is to look ahead, we’re already thinking about next year’s conference. I can hardly believe it, but 2015 will be the 10-year anniversary of the ACO! The conference will be a birthday celebration you won’t want to miss. So keep reading Circle and your email. We’ll be filling you in over the next several months.

Until next time . . .
