Case Collaborations is the new free networking opportunity for members of the ACO. Each month we meet and collaborate on coaching cases from different niches as they relate to a unique theme. You can find each of the monthly themes on the Programs Page. Each session lasts one hour. ACO will feature two case studies to get started and then open it up to Wild Card Lightening Rounds time permitting. This is where you can bring and present your own coaching scenario as it relates to the theme of the month for collaboration, sharing, and feedback.

Effective Time Management for the AD/HD brain, by Marina Darlow
Workshop:  Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016 from 2-3:30 pm ET
Follow Up Support Cal:  Wednesday, February 10th, 2016, from 2-3:00 pm ET

This workshop is about making ” the Time” your ally rather than your enemy: I’m going to teach a technique that provides supportive framework for the Frenzy Creative, without imposing suffocating boundaries. In other words: a system to manage one’s time and workload, that provides flexible guidance to the ADD-blessed individuals.

During the workshop we’ll learn the 5 steps to create a Calendar Framework:

  • identify your key activity categories in your business and life
  • guesstimate the percentage of time dedicated weekly to each category
  • assign weekly number of hours to each category, according to the percentage in step 2
  • create your Personal Calendar Framework
  • Fill out activities in the appropriate places in the Framework

Homework: implement the steps, and fill out your Calendar. Then follow the system daily for a week.

Follow up: review what worked and what didn’t, both at the system – creating phase, and during the 1st week of use.

Marina Darlow is a systems’ pro and productivity expert.  She sees her job as helping impact-driven entrepreneurs get 10-20 more productive hours per week, stop leaking money and prevent stress-fuel breakdowns.  An engineer by training, Marina came to a realization a couple of years ago: working for a conglomerate is not as inspiring as she wants her life work to be.  The quest for inspiration brought her to found Vision Framework, a company that builds small purpose-driven businesses from the inside, helping entrepreneurs run their companies with ease, by putting effective easy to use and fun (yep) systems in place.

ADHD Coaching Edge is a hands-on learn and apply as you go workshop series focused on ongoing development of coaching competencies. The first portion of each workshop is a 90 minute live webinar training.  The second portion of each workshop is a follow up 1 hour Q&A support call about one week later.  Each workshop comes complete with handouts, worksheets and up to 2.5 CCEU’s! Members pay only $97.00 to attend. Non-members may enroll for $127.00.

by Gayle Sweeney and Ann Shanahan

Virtual Workshop:  March 2nd, 2016

Behind The Wheel with ADHD will create awareness, educate and teach new skills to driver education professionals and ADHD coaches. BTW With ADHD teaches 18 points to help mitigate the staggering statistics ( citations, accidents, fatalities ) of novice ADHD teen drivers, one of these points is the use of the coaching method as opposed to instruction. ADHD coaches will aid in the teaching/training in the area of coaching, helping to develop a learning laboratory between the instructor and the ADHD novice teen driver. We certify private and public school driving instructors in two phases, the first phase includes the 18 points to mitigate the statistics ( taught by Ann and Gayle) the second phase reviews some of the core competencies of coaching, (already taught by Ann and Gayle). The second phase is implemented live at the driving school by an ADHD coach in that local area who has gone thru this training and received the CCEU’s. Coaches also come away from the training with the education and tools needed to coach teens and parents thru the “new driver phase”, expanding their business with a niche into a new clientele.

About Gayle Sweeney and Ann Shanahan:  Gayle and Ann are co-creators and authors of ‘Behind The Wheel With ADHD”. A training program to guide driving education professionals on the challenges faced when teaching defensive driving to teens and young adults.
